Boring Patterns

All standard modules come with construction boring for confirmat screw assembly unless otherwise specified. All line boring is set up to accommodate adjustable shelves, hinge plates and drawer slides where applicable. If you need an extra drawer or fixed shelf (FS) in any cabinet, we need to know the exact location.
For a fixed shelf, a dimension from the top of the cabinet down or from the bottom up to the center of the FS is required. If you need a non-standard drawer depth for any cabinet, we need to know what length you require so that we can change the slide hole configuration in the box sides and the actual drawer box depth if we are supplying them. If you need a 3 drawer base and you don’t need the top drawer because your cook-top is 4″ deep for instance, identify the cabinet as a B3D 36 no top drawer. If you need a custom boring pattern for any reason on any cabinet, make sure that you specify what you need on the order form, per line item.

Hinge Boring

The hinge boring pattern for all standard doors is 4″ up from the bottom of the door, and 4″ down from the top of the door to the center of the 35 mm cup hole. We facilitate this pattern by drilling dedicated holes for the hinge plates on all cabinet sides which remain in their same location as we stretch or shrink the box height. This pattern holds true for all cabinets except any box with an apron and full height doors, any door that overhangs the top or bottom of the box by more than 1 1/2″ (light rail), any door that is 18″ tall or smaller (2 1/2″ hinge bore from top and from bottom will be standard) or custom reveals which may affect hinge placement. Any box with a standard 7″ apron requires the top hinge bore to move down to 8 1/2″ from the top of the door to the center of the cup hole.

Notching

Any module that you would like to install using an adjustable panel hanger like our closet system, can be notched to accept the wall rail. Remember, the 1/4″ back will need to be modified for the hook portion of the hanger to pass through. It is the customers responsibility to provide this hole for their particular application.
